Is this a fake Seymour Duncan?

Hi there,
I'm looking to buy this second hand Hamer but I'm a bit dubious about the pickup in the photo. I've never seen a chrome covered Duncan pickup with anything written on it. Could this be a fake?

I "think" I've seem them as OEMs,but could be mistaken.

If it's a "real" Hamer,buy it anyway!!!

My Hamer XT Standard had these. A duncan designed jb/jazz set.

Frankly, I preferred them over the modern production jb/jazz I have owned.

When it says Seymour Duncan on the pickup it is not a Duncan Designed. Those are just logo'd covers that's all. It's an OEM thing and those are legit.

I had those with a Hamer XT Sunburst. OEM, factory fitted. 4-con + shield SH-4 JB and single con + braided shield SH-1n '59. I swapped the A5 bar magnet in the SH-1n to an A4.

The stickers on mine had the dd pickup number..102 or whatever. Maybe they got the wrong covers.

Hmm. That was a hard, fast rule. The only place those covers were logo'd is Santa Barbara CA. I don't believe any logo'd covers would be shipped out without being on a pickup. But anything Is possible.

Hmm. That was a hard, fast rule. The only place those covers were logo'd is Santa Barbara CA. I don't believe any logo'd covers would be shipped out without being on a pickup. But anything Is possible.

Thank Frank. I. sold the guitar 10 years ago or so, so I can't tear it apart to see. maybe it got.the wrong stickers..who knows.
