The guitar originally had : white pickguard with SSS , 3 knobs and a 5 way switch. and the nut is white
i changed all of that . now it has a HH fender pickguard and will feature two nailbombs. and a 3 way switch with 3 knobs but only one working. ahahah the volume pot.

So... what can you do for me guys???
Thank you very much in advance

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

Looks very like my 1995 Am Std - except mine does not have the Anniversary neck anchor plate.

Photographs of the headstock would help.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

ah ok. ill do it right now
my suspect is that the body was changed.. but with todays technology.. the neck could also be falsified
ahahahahahahahh

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

Looks real enough to me. They did use swimming pools in the 90s.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

Every detail I see matches what I expect Fender USA non-AVRI to look like.

If you want to keep it I'd get rid if the sticker in the neck pocket.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

thanks for the input guys.
i want to know what kind of codes or leters should i expect to read on the neck and neck pocket(body) of this guitar in order to know if its legit or not

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

Well, N4 means 1994 (my guitar is Z0 which means 2000).

Other than that, I'd e-mail Fender and ask them, maybe they could help...

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

i'm not an expert, but i have had a bunch of strats from the 90's to early 2000's.

the neck looks like my American standard necks, 22 fret. its also got that inset metal thing for the neck tilt adjustment, the MIM guitars are 21 fret and don't have the neck tilt thing. its also got the AM STD style string trees.

that sticker is also fender OE too, ALL of my US/MIM guitars have it. the tuners look correct, although we can't see the back.

the body looks right, fender did the swimming pool like that, its also got that neck tilt adjuster, the neck pocket that is located with the 2 drill holes (the way the corners of the neck pocket are shaped, it started with 2 drill holes and then they routed/milled it), 2 point trem...

the odd part with the neck is that mine (97 and 99) have the serial number on the BACK of the headstock not the FRONT like yours. my 95 MIM has the serial on the front like that, so it might be right.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

It certainly looks legit to me.

Why do you suspect it's not? Did you get it in some kind of shoddy deal...? :naughty:

C'mon, do tell. Your dark little secret it's safe with me. ;)

HTH,

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

There are a number of details on the mid-Nineties Am Std Stratocaster that nobody else would bother to counterfeit.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

It looks fine to me. A 97 Strat Plus that I had briefly had the swimming pool route, and all the other details point to a 94 MIA Strat.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

As for the Q.A. sticker on the neck heel, try steaming it off rather than scraping.

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

I just found one more detail..
there's this date on the end of the headstock but inside of it instead of being simply on the back end .
and Dec. 07 1994.
and heres a pic of the backl of the headstock as requested.
Whats the email from fender? the ****ers doesnt provide it on their home page.
ahahahahahah

Re: Is This Fender Legit???

It's real.

Leave the sticker in the neck pocket, that's part of the authenticity. Not to mention, it'd probably need a paper shim if you removed it. ;)
