After doing some research on various setups for me Ibanez AS53, I've decided to change the pickups to SH-1 59's. I want to add a DPDT switch to each pickup that goes Series/Coil/Parallel like on this guitar. Is it possible to add a third switch that will allow for in-phase and out-of-phase switching as well, or is the wiring too complicated to make all of these things possible?

What you want is possible, but you will have to make sure you get 4 conductor 59s. Most are sold as 2 conductor. You might also consider Triple Shot Rings for the pickups, too, as they are a little more elegant and easier to deal with than a bunch of toggles.

I just have a couple questions:
1) It says: "Note: to access the neck + bridge series mode, the pickup selector must be in the neck position." Wouldn't the neck and bridge in series just be the middle selection on the 3-way pickup selector?
2) I assume the switch that "reverses the phase of the neck pickup" is the same as putting the pickups out-of-phase, and only works when the 3-way toggle is in the middle position, choosing both humbuckers?

What you want can certainly be done, but I wouldn't use the diagram you posted. It uses 4 toggle switches in addition to the 3-way toggle. In a performance situation you will never remember which switch does what. Plus your guitar will be a mess with so many switches on it. As Dave recommended, you could use Triple Shot mounting rings on each pup then you would only need 1 toggle for phase. Simple. Easy to use. Easy to see which settings you have.

Ok, enough people have recommended the Triple shots, I think I'll give them a go. I can't find any info on how to add a phase toggle switch to them as well. Any links to schematics? Would the phase switch work when both pickups are being used (middle on my 3-way pickup selector) in both parallel and series? Thanks guys, can't wait to get this all figured out and installed!

Yes, the phase will work whether you are in series or parallel.
