Is this Ibanez fake or not??

I need your help guys, the guitar is gorgeous but I don't if this ibanez premium is original or custom/fake

That's tough. At first glance, it looks legitimate, but there are some things that are throwing me off when I try to reference it to known models with this finish.

Is this a U.S. market guitar or is this being sold overseas?

I thought that finish was only on the Saber models. I could be wrong though.

There's an international market RG420PB that looks like that, with the offset inlays, but the back finish doesn't look quite right and the neck is plain maple, not finished brown, on the examples I can find. I don't know on this one, to be honest. Everything else looks right and I can't imagine someone trying to counterfeit a lower-end model like that. What is the inlay or marking at the 12th fret? Hard to make out in the pics...

Yeah that's really tough for me too, at first it was like RG premium, but the headstock is supposed to be black or something, the person who sells it said that it was made in Indonesia though

It's a secondhand guitar, do you think a 190$ price is acceptable for premium series? Or is that a little suspicious? Btw I'm from Indonesia

I thought that finish was only on the Saber models. I could be wrong though.

Yeah that's what I thought at first, but the headstock is just not right for RG420PB model, is it possible that it's only for indonesia market??

No that's an RG 420PB-ntf...

Not sure if they were "premium" models though...maybe a switched neck?

On second glance the offset dots are different like Masta C said ..hmmm

I'm 100% positive that that's RG420PB-ntf body, the neck just not quite.. Is it worth buying??

Both neck & body "look" genuine to me..just not from the same guitar...for that price I'd buy it if RG's were my thing

well, I too cant say its a genuine matched set.. But if it plays good, that would be a good score at that price. And, if the neck is a prestige, would be an upgrade..No??

I've got an RGT42 (neck through). The entire thing is a dark olive green metallic - body, neck, headstock.

Fingerboard is rosewood.

Factory prototype/sample? Indonesian-only version? Hard to tell...

Hmmm I notice the trem on this one is the edge-zero II ZPS, which is very common in basic->iron label->premium line. However plain edge-zero II without the ZPS is not so common, and I don't see the ZPS in the OP's pics.

So here's an update, I've checked it, and to tell you the truth, it's not that great, the specs are not from RG420PB, ONLY THE BODY is RG420PB, other than that are unfortunately disappointing
