Is this pickup ruined or fixable?

This pickup was tight in a cavity. In the process of adjusting the height, the back plate popped off. Although there might be some, I didn't see any wires going to the bobbins. Can this just be re-glued? If so does the blade on the backplate need to touch the one on the bobbins portion? Thanks everyone.

In order to articulate the plastic bobbin that far away from the baseplate, you must have severed at least two coils.

The good news is that the black/green conductors end of the baseplate is the finish end of each coil. You might be able to get away with taking back a few turns of each coil. If the white/red end of the coils are severed, a full rewind will be required.

By all means, obtain a quote for the repair plus two-way shipping. Chances are that the total will exceed the price of a brand new pickup.

Thanks for the reply. I picked it up for $25 for a beater tele. I think it's just $25 lost. No huge deal but just probably not worth the cost of a repair in this situation.

All wires severed because the top bobbins are completely separate from the baseplate now.

I would say that Seymour Duncan could fix it, but it isn't worth it for a $25 pickup. What was it? How did it sound? We do make some pretty amazing rails- the Hot Stack is a good example.
