i am recently trying to find out the notes of a cool ending guitar solo by my ears.

the problem is that the bass, drums and vocal parts are kind of loud.
so i dont manage to hear some parts from the solo.

is there a program that is able to cut the bass and drums part out?

would be cool if there is.
but dont think it is.. right? :smack:

Well the only way you could "cut them out" would be by cutting out the main frequencies that they use, so all you gotta do is EQ it...take out the bass and boot the high mids and highs, althogu if you cant make it out already it might mean that the bass and drums are a bit overpowering in the range that the guitar should be, but try that and see what happens..

Get a multi-band digital reverb, find the resonant frequency of the gtr and slam it.
