The AMT SS preamps sound great too (didn't I get you started on those IMENATOR?), including the SS-30 which is FET based but they are best running straight to a power amp or fx return (which is just using the power amp).

I had read about those before but you shared very useful comments, lonephantom too but he lost the sound clips of a review he did once . Anyway I am very happy with it, I really really enjoy the crunch channel for a nice classic rock rythm and then kick in the lead for a thick solo. And using it a lot for home recording lately.

Sorry, wasn't trying to take credit for anything, I just remember we discussed them before you picked one up. I actually talked to lonephantom quite a bit before I bought my first SS-20. Isn't that what you are using now?

yes, I have the SS-20, I am quite happy with it now, until next GAS attack.

Do they make a Bean-O type pill for musicians, especially guitar players? I could have used some badly for the past 20 or so years, I think my GAS has pretty much subsided for a while now.
