Issues with sentient/nazgul/bmp1 install

Just installed a sentient/nazgul/bmp1 in an ibanez s7420. followed the diagram for wiring up to a fender style 3 way blade switch.
it seems that when i switch to neck or bridge position the pickups lose power. The sentient in particular sounds weak when on a clean
setting & there are signs of breakup in the tone (like a very mild overdrive). Also the bmp1 drops the volume VERY quickly (no volume after maybe a 1/4 turn of the volume knob). Any ideas? I'm thinking the bmp1 may be faulty.

I'd check the connections for the pickup lead wires. I've experienced a weak, almost nonexistent sound from faulty connections before. Check to make sure there aren't any loose wire strands, the connection will hold when the wire is tugged, and that the connection is not a cold-solder joint.

Thanks for the advice guys! This was my second install so I've got a lot to learn. Turns out I had the ground & volume pot wires to the 1/4 jack switched!!! My guitar sounds great now! Lol. Thanks again guys!

Hello!
I´m having issues installing Nazgul and Sentient on my Ibanez PGM301 with a 5-way switch. Any chance on getting a diagram of your wiring? I have compared the color codes etc but just can´t get it to work. At the moment all the mics are in use on every position of the switch.. :/
