Well, people who know nothing about guitars would probably stop to balk at a Epiphone Joe Pass just the same..
Much as I love the Falcon, Something about it screams to me- "I don't play as quick as a 335!".. probably just ignorance because I have never held or played one and it probably wasn't meant to be a the best playing fretboard in the world, I mean, its mostly for rockabilly and classic blues rock, whereas the 2335 was used for acid rock which is alot harder and faster..but without question it has to be huge tone monster!

AZ is correct as usual. It isn't very different on the fretboard from my old 335 copy I used to have. The neck is probably a little thicker, but that is about it. Of course, the body size is the biggest thing. This guitar is absolutely huge, but it sits pretty comfortably whether I am playing upright or sitting down.
I am not thrashing on it or anything, but I have played some heavier riffs and the action is tight enough to give it gorgeous tone (even then). I think It is going to find it's home on my clean, strumming riffs or slow melody riffs. The Jazzmaster will remain my main guitar for the heavy distortion and weird fx type stuff.

Sorry. I will delete that when posting from my mobile from now on. I think it justifies having it even more because it means I am so addicted to guitars that when I am not on my computer on the forums, or not playing guitar, I am on the forums on my phone. lol

Congrats on the guitar. Those guitars are just like a Cadillac, as TC described. Gretsch is one of those companies where you can honestly say their newest guitars are better than the old ones.

Enjoy it, I see artists in just about every genre rock em, and I've never met someone who wouldn't want one. Even people who don't play guitar probably want that guitar.
