Not really. the trills were intentional to remind everyone of ELP style stuff. The weird harpsichord style pad you're hearing is from a Yamaha DX7.

BTW the Minimoog was as popular in the 80s as it was in the 70s... even gangsta rap used them going into the 90s. A legendary analog synth.
