Well, I couldn't find a Blues JR around town, but this thing found me!

I posted my 7 string on here and CL, and got a call about this little beauty within 2 hours. It was one of those, " I can't pass that up," kind of deals.

Kid's in the bed so I won't be able to play with it until tomorrow, but I'm excited. I've wanted one for a couple of years now.

Enter the Mesa TA-15.

You'd be surprised. One of the settings on it is called, TWEED.

From my understanding, the first Mesa's where modified/hot-rodded, Fenders.

Wow! This is one hell of a little lunch box! I can't find a bad tone in it.

My hollow body loves the Tweed setting. It's got more headroom than you could possibly imagine in a 2xEL-84 setup. You can turn the gain and master volume wide open, and it just barely breaks up. It's louder than an all hell too!

As far as lunchbox amps go, I've owned a Blackheart Handsome Devil, Krank Rev JR Pro, Orange TT, Jim Root TT, Mesa .22 Cal, and a Dark Terror. This thing rules them all! The only gripe I have is no FX loop, but I can look over that.

You would not believe how versatile this little monster is. It goes from a pristine clean, to damn near ballz out, on both channels. I'd imagine if you kick it with a drive pedal, you can get where you want to go. Hell, I may sell my Pittbull... Well, maybe not, but that's a testament to how impressive this thing really is.

Yeah, I think the TA-30 comes in a combo.

They also do a big boy version called the Royal Atlantic.

Kinda surprised you said balls out - does it really have enough gain for say, 2 minutes to midnight?

Nice score! Besides being a really good amp, it's probably the best looking of all the lunchbox amps.

Now, you may want the matching cab or any Mesa 212.

I've been eyeballing one of those for a while as well, nice score! They do indeed sound killer. I may end up with one yet.

You can get there. You'd just have to push it a bit with an OD.
