Its cool to run my .50 cal+ combo into my ENGL quadbox isnt it?

Is it fine to hook up my mesa .50 calibre+ 112 combo to my ENGL quadbox? The mesa has a cable hooked up out of the 8ohm output of the amp to its single black shadow speaker. Would it be cool to just unplug this and hook it up to my quadbox, since that is an 8ohm speaker box???

What do you think that would sound like?

Yes, from the amp's perspective the loads are the same.
