It's Seymour...but which one?

Re: It's Seymour...but which one?

Watched a few of his vids and I think its more that he's nailing the playing style than the tone. I bet he'd sound like that with just about any PAFish pickup. He's clearly not blasting a modded Plexi.

Re: It's Seymour...but which one?

As cliche as it is, this is clearly an example of tone being in the fingers.

Re: It's Seymour...but which one?

Again... another reason why I almost never believe online reviews anymore... this guy can sound like EVH through a MG. Most people hate those amps... I've always secretly loved mine lol... but I don't sound like that. I sound like me. If you're a good player, you can make anything sound good. I'm not saying I'm good or anything.

the MGfx30 is the only little SS amp i use. i take mine for jam sessions with friends and get a great tone:naughty:
some get the MG to sound as good as the marshall snobs can with their prized plexi's due to their hands/talent. the MG is a great amp for the $$$ as many have proven on the YT clips

Re: It's Seymour...but which one?

is there any truth to the 59 trembucker having a hotter output?
I recently explained that in another thread: the trembucker has a larger bobbin (50 instead of 49). You need a about 10000 windings on both bobbins for a 59 with 8.14k. With the larger bobbins you need 2mm more wire on a complete loop. Its 2000 centimeters more wire, which is about 200 complete loops (if you put on the vintage bobbin), this about 2% or .16 kOhms. So a trembucker 59 with the same number of winding on it has a resistance of 8.3k .... in theory.....

I see, i have read some guys reporting their 59 TB-1's as high as 9K?
