Damn Nice! All that needed was a flanger and DLR. I read at the end the amp was "dimed" and that's how EVH likes his amps. I don't have that luxury.

I will back up a bit and say that it's not entirely the amp -- there are some pickups that are utterly and completely wrong (e.g. JB) -- but as long as you have something in the ballpark (59, Seth, PG, EVH, even a Twangbanger), that's really all you need if you have a good/"the right" amp.

I've never felt like there was a lot of difference between rocking out on the bridge pickup of a Les Paul with a fair amount of gain, and doing it on a supertrat where the trem normally rests against the top. Aside from the shapes of everything being different, and the scales, it's a remarkably similar feel.
