I've been working on learning a lot of songs for some fill in gigs I've got coming up. I'm a Solid State bass amp kind of guy- I currently own 3 solid state bass amps, and I like those better than most every tube amp I've played with. I've had a bit of experience with a fair amount of different kinds of amps. I prefer SS bass amps. I don't like the "sag" that's associated with most every tube bass amp I've worked with. A while ago, friend acquired a Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+ (it's not stolen or anything) and he's let me use it for the past few days. This amp is frickin' awesome! Granted, I'm not running it through my current "live" cab, but I have been running it pretty close to gig volume through one of the cabs that were my #1 live rig for around 6 years. This amp is frickin' awesome!!
I've decided I'm going to have to figure out a way to buy this amp.
