I've fixed my Ashdown Fallen Angel

Well i've had this amp a while and the digital effects and reverb didn't work pretty much from stage one. No real problem as they're not very important, but in a moment of madness I decided to have a look inside and see if I could spot the problem.

After assorted screws being removed I find that the pins from the DSP board were simply not pushed firmly in. I now have reverb and effects. Not sure if they'll get much use mind, but it's nice that they're working.

Sometimes it is the simplest things...I once bought a Peavey Rock Master 120-watt head that was totally dead for 25 bucks. Twenty minutes after I got it home, I had one of the best pure rock and roll amps I have ever owned roaring away in my living room.

The problem? An internal fuse had blown. Cost of repair? About 30 cents.

Hmm...I should try doin that on mine when I go back home, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I never used the effects, but if I sell it then hey lol.

Once you've got it open it's quite easy to spot the DSP board, it's hangin over the main board. Just unscrew where it's fastened to the front panel, if it just kinda falls over then it hasn't been fitted properly.

Be careful in getting all the very long pins lined up and gently press it home and then re-attach it to the front panel.

Do try and remember to unplug the whole thing first mind :)

I found it was just nice to have reverb.
