after playing with my new strat all day I'm really liking this thing. It's the MIM strat that KAC sold me off of here. This is my first 3 pickup/5 way switch guitar. There are alot of different tones to be had out of that 5 way switch. It's got Fender Tex Mex pickups in the neck and middle and a Dragonfire Zebra rails in the neck, I've never heard of the Dragonfire before. I'm sure I'll have to throw some Duncans in there at some point. It looks good setting beside my tele since they are the same color. I like the feel of the strat better than my tele though. I guess I've never played with one long enough to really know how much I would like one.

is that the midnight wine one with a rosewood board? if so, that was my old strat i sold Kac...for a MIM it was a pretty damn good player when i had it! either way, enjoy it...i love strats, so easy to mod to your style!

Anyone who doesn't like strats is living in darkness. LOL There have been times where I decided to never play any guitar but a strat, but then I start to miss the qualities of other guitars too. After moving through a lot of different guitars, I've come to the conclusion that I could live the rest of my life with Strats, Pauls, Teles, PRS McCarties, and Martins. I like other guitars too, but those are the models that hit the nail on the head, for me at least.

XSSIVE, that would be the one. I'm loving it. Been playin all day. I didn't know what I was missing by not having one. Did you put that Dragonfire in there? If so what can ya tell me about them, I've never heard of them.

They're interesting guitars. I had trouble with them for a long time, hence I didn't own one until about 1994, but once I found one that worked for me, I found that I liked them....to a point. They're like Teles for me. They work for all the wrong reasons, but they DO work.
