I've never tried home recording before....my weak attempt

It's just under a minute and a half. First half is punk rock, second half is...90s alt rock?

Anywho, I know the production quality sucks - it's literally a 5 dollar PC mic leaning against my amp - but I'm just messing around in Audacity trying to see what I'm capable of. This is my first ever home recording experience since I was 15 and did the same thing. So yes, the quality sucks.

I just wanted to post this to so I won't feel like the past hour or two have been a complete waste :D That and, I haven't recorded in foreeeever, and I want to get some ideas down.

Thoughts on the music? I plan on turning that into a full fledged song one day, though the parts most likely won't connect like that. It'll be longer etc.

EDIT: The volume of the mp3 itself is very low, so turn your speakers up.

Cool, the first half was very pop punk (as i'd expect give your K4E background), i could see with decent recording that turning into a good song.

Personaly i'd write some verses and choruses in the vein as the pop punk intro, then use the other cleaner, quieter bit as the breakdown of the song.

Sounds like solid state distortion! MMM-MMM!

I have a few recordings like that --- solid state distortion into a stolen dynamic mic into the front of a laptop!

Glorious days of youth!
