My wife called me at work and said a parcel arrived for me so I went to my boss and said I was going home, I got a parcel.
He asked, " Is it your sewing hammer you .... , you got all your work done? "
" Nope " , I replied " You won't have anything to yell about tomorrow if I did".

Anyhow, IYV, off of Amazon. $ 238 bucks and a couple of jinglies.

Packaged good. That white wrapper, paper folded up between strings and fret board. The box came in a bigger box.

Simply the best value guitar I have ever seen. The set up is great out of the box. Tune it up and play, no rod adjustment, slight bridge lowering to put it where I like.Intonation is close enough.
The pots are good, feel good and respond well, maybe not as precise as some more expensive ones but better than some I've come across.
The switch is solid, stays where you put it. The pots or switch have zero crackle.
It has a metal jack plate. 238 bucks and you get a metal jack plate. Unreal.
The pickups are Destiny CandC wound, I have never heard of them . Nothing at all wrong with them. They will not be microphonic, you can tap on the guitar and they don't make a noise like some others. I will replace them down the road for something more my flavour but am not in a hurry to do so. I may even keep them in there. Who knows.
The bridge and tail piece feel and look good.. Don't know the brand but definitely do the job and won't need replacing. The machines are surprisingly good. They turn smooth, don't turn by themselves and stay where you put them. No rattling from them or the bridge.

The guitar weighs 8.9 lbs on my scale. Mahogany neck and body with a flame maple veneer. The finish is well done There are a couple small flaws Pictures below.
The fretboard is rosewood, maybe. I think it's something else but it feels good under the fingers.
The nut is plastic and is cut ok. I'm going to give it a little bit of love.
The frets are finished outstanding. I feel no rough or sharp edges. No levelling required. Actually very impressed by the neck/ fretwork.

Some very minor details. A couple of very tiny finish flaws. One on the front, one on the back and a bit of blue I need to scrape up by the nut.

The finish flaws are nothing in my book. Very minor. The glue could of been cleaned but hey, $238.

There are a couple inexpensive, a couple mid range and a couple big dollar. He outshines the inexpensive by a mile. Is easily as good as the midrange and can hang with the expensives.
If I had $5000 in my pocket, walked into the shop, I would by 10 IVY
guitars and save the other $2500 plus dollars and take my wife on a vacation.
The best $238 Cad dollars I have ever spent on gear. Better value than my Katana in my opinion.
Imagine a $238 dollar guitar a used $300 dollar amp. You can kick serious ass now days.

If you have questions I will answer if I can. I'm going to be playing for a while tonight And there is a pile of overtime at work. I may be slow on the response.
Unbelievable. Simply Unbelievable. 238 bucks. I'll take a dozen please.

cool color. new or used? never heard of the brand

Brand spanking new. They are out of Vietnam, Korean owned from what I found out on the web.
I can't say for sure but I think they may manufacture for the brand name guys.
Bought of off Amazon Canada. They seem to pop up, sell out, in a hurry I might add, and show up again a month or two later.
I put one in my cart , 8 instock, ordered, ate supper and looked again, all sold out.

I always love hearing about good bargain guitars. Are you gonna keep it like that or mod it?

I'm not sure. The hardware is good.( Maybe some locking tuners ). I'm going to play with the pickup heights and keep them for a while for sure. Maybe put some with a bit more teeth in later down the road. The nut will get replaced for sure.
It's a tough call on this one. There are better parts and pickups but these are good and useable.

Cool always fun to find good cheapies

I scored a 10S GF earlier this year that is pretty amazing but needed a few more tweaks than yours
