Jackson Chris Broderick model???

Anyone know when these hit stores? Anyone tried one out? I am looking at having a new guitar built and have decided that I really want someting with a sleek heal, or no heel at all, hence a neck through. Mike Lipe said a neck through virtuoso would run $3,200, which is a little high but I know it'd be a killer axe. The CB Jackson sig model appears to be what I am looking for as well though, neck through, 2 HBs, 24 jumbo frets, 12 degree radius on the FB and the tone woods.... maple neck, ebony fretboard, mahog wings and quilted maple top. Anyone seen one of these in person?

Any reason a mahogany soloist wouldn't fit the bill?

Because an SL2MAH is very hard to find, maybe?

Personally I wouldn't mix a maple neckthrough with mahogany wings and ebony board, but that's just me. You've got 2 brights (neck and board, not to mention the center tenon) and a warm (body wings). That combo brings the brightness down and the warmth up so you end up with something tonally close to alder with twice the weight.

If you go with a Jackson Custom Shop, have them do a "Pablo heel" like he did on the Anime Soloist for NAMM '08. That's a sweet scallop from the neck "heel" around the back of the lower horn.

he left Ibanez Seems as though they were pretty stingey on developing a signature model for him, as if they wouldn't do it.

The volume pot is in a totally stupid position. :scratchch

How can you play that and not constantly knock the pot ??

Re: Jackson Chris Broderick model???

Hmm, what happened tween him and Ibanez?

Dunno, but I'll tell ya, I preferred the Ibby's.

whats the back switch??

Coil tap, apparently.

Re: Jackson Chris Broderick model???

I just can't wait until Dave Mustaine fires him. May seem like a harsh thing to say, but I'm a Megadeth fan - so I have an opinion.
