Priced at $149.00. I'm not worried about sound but I would wonder if the truss rod they put in these guitar is garbage or not. If anyone has any info on these please post. I've thought of picking one up.

Spend the extra $50 for the JS-22. They are reduced to 199 from 299. I own one of these and I am blown away by the quality at this price point. I cannot find anything to complain about. It sounds great and sustains really well. These are better than guitars I paid $600+ for in my younger days. Even the electronics and pickups are quite good:

Re: Jackson Dinky JS-11

These days I'd worry more about the hardware than the truss rod. I'd get the cheaper one if you plan to upgrade the hardware over time. The truss rod is probably the same in both of them.

Re: Jackson Dinky JS-11

The problem with the JS-22 is I hate the color black. And I don't need all those extra frets.

Re: Jackson Dinky JS-11

I also prefer 22 fret. I also think it's curious that you're concerned about the truss rod. Most people aren't like "I want a guitar with a nice truss rod". The JS-11 is fine. These guitars seem to be very well constructed.

Re: Jackson Dinky JS-11

Cheaper guitars can use cheaper parts. Like truss rods. If the truss rod is junk you got a real problem.
