Hey everybody,
New to the forum but hopefully somebody can help me out
I fitted an SSL4 Quarter pound pickup into the neck of my Jackson DK2.
Im having problems with volume. To get anything out of this pickup I have to crank the guitar & amp (marshall 100watt 2x12) to max volume and I then get 'some' sound, but if i flick it back over to the single coil in the neck or the bridge bucker the amp goes to how loud it should be (nearly pushed a window out
) In the mix there are a tone pot, a volume pot (both A500K) the tone pot has a 2A223J capacitor soldered to it, and a 5 way switch... thats all.. Ive checked all the solder points out OK. Have tried raising and lowering the pickup all the way both ways but this didnt seem to make a great deal of difference in volume.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just wanna crank this thing
