so i bought a jackson DXMG Dinky during summer and i'm still undecided about the pups to go in it. Somehow i'm not seeing a set of EMGs in this guitar so i it's gonna be Duncans.
It's alder with maple neck and a lo-pro floyd so it's relatively bright.
my other duncan axes are both mahogony B.C Riches tuned to c and b equipped with a dimebucker/full shred combo.
I want to keep the jackson in standard tuning but it should sound heavy without being muddy. I want this guitar to give both crushing rhythm and smooth lead tone so i thought about something like Invader(never had one but heard that it'd sound great in alder)in the bridge/Full Shred neck(it just makes a great lead pup imo).
so with this info you might know what i'm after for this guitar and might have suggestions or some infos.
Most critical requirements: keep it passive this time and try to keep it as far away from the mud as possible
edit: i nearly forgot to say that this will be a metal guitar so there's not a big need for great cleans. Distortion is what matters
