Jackson Infinity Pro?

I was looking thru some old Jackson catalogs online and was reminded of a model they made in like 92 and 93 called the Infinity pro. Basically, its kinda like a LP variation with a floyd. I didnt pay them any attention back in those days as I was only into pointy guitars, but now, being a lover of both pointies and LPs, I was wondering how those were. anyone have one or had one? If so, how is/was it?

Just a side note, I like the Phil Collen model from 91-93 too. Wonder what ever happened to that PC LP type of monstrosity they came out with a few years back?

Re: Jackson Infinity Pro?

from 90 to 95 is the golden age of Japanese Jacksons, on par with Jackson USA. Most all of them were Basswood.

The later 96 through 99 Japanese Jacksons are the second coming. After that, the Japanese Jacksons guitars aren't as desirable /collectible.

Nothing wrong with any Japenese Jacksons, but there you have it.

Um, I dunno. It's kinda… "yeah" but also not very "uh-huh" but at the same time sort of "whatever", you know?

Looks like a Dinky with a JJ butt.

Visually, not my dream guitar, (id prefer solid color or black stain) but the set neck, layout (volume knob back out of the way) and upper fret access... Schwing!!! Kinda like the love child of an EVH and a pointy charvel..

Re: Jackson Infinity Pro?

I have two Infinity Pro's and love them both.... I normally prefer Jackson neck thru's but the set neck is nice. Still very fast, great playability, and style.IMG_1819.jpgView attachment 57721 If you can find one for a reasonable price $6-700 ish they're worth the money especially if you get the actual PRO model.. it has different inlays and neck binding.

Re: Jackson Infinity Pro?

Don't know where my other picture went... Hmmm... Keep in mind of the inlays and that the on the Infinity Pro's the headstock matches the guitar body. As far as the Kelly that is an awesome guitar series. A little hard to track down in the market but well worth the search for any of the guitars mentioned in this thread. jackson green kelly.jpg
