Jackson JS20 upgrade dilemma

Hey all, I have this base-level Jackson (SSH, 5-way selector, trem) that I wan to modify a little, instead of going out and buying a whole other guitar. The first thing I'd like to do is to swap out the stock humbucker. I kinda like the sound of the stock 'bucker distorted, although it is quite noisy, but I find it way too bright and plucky to play clean. I've been leaning towards either an SH-4 JB, an SH-5 Custom, or maybe a '59. I want something pretty versatile, as I like to play classic rock (i.e. Kiss and ZZ Top), punk/ska (Social Distortion, Catch-22, etc.), and some metal (Metallica, Lamb of God, etc.), as well as something with a nice clean sound for mellower stuff. From what I've managed to discern so far is that the JB seems to be the better all-around choice. Any suggestions?
