if it was a custom piece it'd say Custom Shop on the headstock..
"By Default" it´s not on there, you have to specify it (but it´s no upcharge)

or a discontinued model
Automatically, the JJ was discontinued last year ;)

It is kind of a rare bird. It is a Jackson JJ with only a bridge bucker and a flame job! I have only seen one other of these ever!!! All the others had 2 buckers!!! I am not sure if it may be a custom Piece or a limited run or something???????

Nope, just an "oddball"... actually the Singlehum JJ´s I´ve seen habe all been Hotrod Flames... but it used to be that every so often Jackson made a batch or 2 of almost any guitar with minimally different specs just for kicks, like the Diamond Plate Kellys... These days those runs are essentially over unfortunately, but every so often.... ;)

I wish I had the cash, I´d be all over it :(

I think they were made for Scott Ian of Antrax origanally

Re: Jackson USA JJ for sale

they were always made for scott ian as far as i know. when he went to washburn, they discontinued the model

Re: Jackson USA JJ for sale

Don't be afraid of the Wilkenson bridge, I have one on my Fender Tele-Sonic and think it's great. The sustain really improves when you have just one solid piece of hardware holding the strings in place. For that price, that guitar is a steal.

Not sure, I know that Scott did use the JJ's but, not all of the JJ's were Scott Ian models.

Chris, The Wilkinson Bridge is a very good piece!!!!! Its hard to beat!!!!
You are also right, this axe is a steal!!! Great price for a top quality USA made Guitar!!!!

Not quite... th3e Jackson Junior (Aka JJ) was introduced in about ´92... in around ´94 Scott fell in love with them so the headstock was modified from "gumby" to the "Ianhead" and the Extortion Logo was added.... the last 2 years had El Diablos, until then it was Dual JBs (or a single one as here).

It was discontinued because of the Fender buyout of J/C ... it´s a Gibson shape ( LPJr) and Fender thought it was too easey a target ... Scott happened to leave at the same time, the reason being he wanted to work with Chewie (graphics artist) and J/C was lining up Mike Learn at the time ;)

Bump for a cool axe that I still can´t afford :(

Damn, too many flames on it. If it was solid, I'd jump on it.

Too bad. But It'll give ya a good BUMP!!! :burnout:

Re: Jackson USA JJ for sale

I'm tempted. But I just bought back a Jackson JJP I sold a few months ago. The wife would have my ass if I got another one. Of course, she doesn't know about the JJP, yet.
