Jackson w/HB10n-HB103b pots question

HEY!! I got really pissed off about these pick ups again today and decided to take the guitar apart and figure out what is the problem and I found the white wire coming off of the output jack that goes to the volume pot is soldered on by about two threads of wire and the rest of the wire is just dangling not touching anything. Problem solved. More Jackson quality control issues.

I still have a really annoying ground hum that I can’t locate. All the typical ground points check out fine. Some day I’ll find that problem.

I won't repeat the whole story again, just in short: re-wire that thing from ground zero. I guess you won't. But it kinda bothers me that there's prolly nothing wrong with that guitar and pickups apart from some minor, trivial wiring mishap.

I must’ve missed your comment about rewiring the whole guitar. I don’t think I’d have done it anyway. If I was going to do that I’d be putting in something else other than Korean copy pickups. I couldn’t see the wiring problem without my reading glasses on either.

You’ll love this, I decided I didnt like having a tone knob so I required the whole thing. I also found the black wire on the hb103 to be all dried out and cracked so I did get JB. YOU WERE totally right about rewiring it. Very glad I did it.

Cool! I'm glad you're finally happy with your guitar!
