Jackson Warrior

Hi guys,

any of you have (experiences with) a WR1?
What do you think of it?

I'm doubting what finish to get, so if any of you could post some of your pics to get me an idea which look cool? I like the eerie dess swirl but I find it having a 'lack of body volume' (if you know what I mean) to fully enjoy this finish...

thanks! :cool3:

Re: Jackson Warrior

On that guitar, I like the dragon finishes, or white with black binding.

A bit too wild for my tastes, but a cool guitar nonetheless. You might have to get used to how it hangs with a strap, but as you ahve an Explorer and V, it shouldn't have too much of a learning curve

Re: Jackson Warrior

Any USA Jackson will play and sounfd great, and the Warrior is no exception. :headbang:

Warriors are surprisingly comfortable standing OR sitting, they literally just rest on your leg without any need to hold on. And the balance and position on a strap is just perfect, ideal for shredding.

IMO Bolted steel or Black with White Bevels looks best on a Warrior, or just "plain" black, like you I find the body too "small" for Eerie Dess or any of the other swirls. Blood Drip on black looks absolutely killer, personal favorite, but is no longer available @USA select pricing.

If they weren´t so "pointy" I´d have bought one long ago, same for the Kelly and King V. But right now I´ll stick to Dinkys, Soloists and Rhoads ;)

BTW: If you decide to get rid of the PCS Dinky, please let me know ;)

Re: Jackson Warrior

It'a a great body shape, that's fer sure!!
Not a fan of the neck, myself, but make sure you get the more expensive one; I think it played and sounded better than the cheap one.

Re: Jackson Warrior

dark red burst.. or just plain trans dark red.. i dont even know what the options on those are >.<

let me check quick

black pearl maybe? ivory looks awesome on pretty much every guitar.. ah there we are.. burnt cherry sunburst, faded wine red? trans black looks killer too and with a better grade top than the japan made ones, it looks like you'd be looking into a dense dark forest. just check the DKMG in the MG series :32: from the graphic finishes, i'd definately like to see a lightning sky warrior.. it's pointyiness gives it that extra edge too ... broken mirror top ?? http://www.jacksonguitars.com/resources/custshoparchives/images/full/6478mirror.jpg or this skully

those are the ones i'd consider. i'm sure it'll look killer with whatever you chose

only sucky thing is, that more companies should put some good pictures of the color options (non custom) up on their site so you could have a better understanding at how stuff at least looks like a tiny bit..
having so many color options and only a few pics really SUCKS... though, there is a Gallery of the USA select and Custom Orders on their website if you dig around it a bit

Zerb, can you get me one  king kelly

WFD has a 80's HSS charvel in this color clicky

Re: Jackson Warrior

Hey, are there pics around of that dark red burst?

some things I'd like to see:
grey burst
Bild_61.jpg

I've also seen a kind of 'bordeaux' burst in the 2000 jackson catalog (with endorsee pics). It's pic 19: Kevin Brandow...

I'd like to see that dragon finish on a warrior.
Wouldn't take a trans finish, nor a LTG, since I have that on my RR1 already...

And I'e been thinking on the black wit white bevels, might be interesting...

No, I won't sell that PCS, man! :nana:

:wall:

thanks for the help so far guys, but give me more! :32:

Re: Jackson Warrior

the grey burst looks sweet.. if i had the 2004 jackson catalogue, i'd scan some pics for ya, but they only had 1 left at the store =(

I think the 2004 one's on jcfonline.com, so no worries. Thanks anyway :)

I wonder how that grey burst would look like on a warrior
the gray burst looks good on it. the pointiness of the warrior, gives the outer black layer a lot of change so it looks weird, but a good weird :D
