Jackson X series guitars???

To complete my fleet, I want a V. I like the Gibson Trad pro V (I think its called. no pickguard) I also like the Schecter V. (cept the headstock) I also REALLY Love the Jackson V that Scott Ian is playing these days, but cant afford the $2k price. HOWEVER>>>> I see they now have an X series model of it. How are the X series Jacksons?? Also, anyone played the Schecter??

Re: Jackson X series guitars???

I haven't played that specific guitar but... My Jackson SLX (2012 , India) is a great guitar; I'm not fond of the Floyd Special (the pivots wear quickly) but as far as construction and playability, it's probably my best guitar.

If you want something that is fully equivalent to the Jackson USA models of the time, find a early '90s Jackson Professional MIJ. They are SCARY good, and can be had for less than $1000 if you search a little. I'd much rather have that than a brand new guitar that is a several notches lower on the food chain.
