Jaguar Baritone special pick-up change????

Hey out there.....

Today I just bought the new Limited edition Fender "Jaguar Baritone Special" http://www.fendereurope.com/news/New-LookJaguarGuitarsComingSoon.asp

It comes with some they call "2 Special Design MIJ Dragster Humbucking Pickups (Neck & Bridge)"

My problem is that I miss some "sustain" from the pick-ups....

Have Seymour Duncan made some special "Baritone pick-ups"??? Or can I just use some normal Seymour Duncan Humbuckers??? And if that´s possible...which one would you recomment?? Maybe it´s just because the strings are so heavy I can´t get any "Sustain"???? Or?

Is there any of you who know how heavy the strings are on this guitar?? Because there are not as heavy as on the original Jaguar Baritone from the sixties....

I really hope some of you guys have some of the answers to all this questions....´cause I´m really lost right now!!!!

Thanks you for your time....

That is a very cool guitar! I think something clean, bright and powerfull would work well to counteract any inherent mudiness. I know Dimarzio makes a baritone humbucker. I don't know the guage but Ernie Ball makes Baritone strings that come in two or three guages.

baritone guitars can use regular pickups you just have to be careful of the bass/mid/treble response on them as well as output....basicly any pickup will do except perhaps the Custom Custom, Invader or jazz but hey I might be wrong.

my ignorant .02 cents.

The lack of sustain comes from the guitar. Jaguars aren't really known as sustain-machines. The heavier strings & longer neck should actually help with sustain.

Those are totally differnt design.
Most similar to an alder long scale bolt SG type.

The lack of sustain could be any number of things, including the pickups.
Fender japan is otorious for useing ****e pickups, though.
It's use A2PIIs.

I would think that a pickup would have to be very tight, bright and articulate otherwise it might sound muddy. Also it might help to have a lower power pickup with a preamp like the EMG afterburner rather than a distortion class pickup.
