Hi everyone!
Hope the thread appears only once: I got logged out when trying to submit (because I left the page open too long I think).
I just bought a 1994-95 MIJ jaguar 62RI. Totally love the feeling!
But it requires some work ok it: the jack input is loose (the jack doesn't "click", quick fix), the bridge seems a mustang one so that's fine (but I need to set it up) and the pickups have really low output and a lot of feedback.
I did quite a bit of research and I found this thread:
https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?10637-Help-with-Jaguar-pickups!!!&highlight=jaguar
I'm a bit confused:
I use some effects (among them rat2 and SD1). I don't want to lose the "twang" but I want more output and more sustain (right now it's really too short, but I haven't even changed the strings
) and a bit (really just a bit) less brightness.
I would like a sound between Frusciante (rhcp) and Morello (ratm). I think at this point the quarter are the right choice, am I right?
I'd like Adam Jones' (tool) sound as well, but that would be asking too much from a single guitar
Oh, one last question: I read somewhere that, with a bit of effort, the quarters fit inside the claws. Is that right?
Sorry for being so long and thanks to anyone who will reply

what does "big" means? I thought it was for warm, but it seems not.well since im assuming hat you dont want to rout the guitar id say that the hot or quater pound jaguar pups are what you should look into. they are both higher output, the hot is smoother and warmer while he qp is big and punchy with nice bite
