Jake Shimabukuro

Seen as I'm a ukulele player, of course I'm interested in Jake's music, he's a friggin master at the instrument! He's been described as the "Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele". But my thought with this thread, is to know what you guitarplayers/shredders think about his music? I have alot of his music on my computer, and I own a dvd with some live performances, interviews, musicvideos, lessons etc. He's pretty awesome. Did you guys ever mistake the ukulele for being a toy?!?!

He's pretty cool. I don't recall ever thinking of the uke as a toy, they wouldn't use koa on a toy.

In this case, the medium through which art is made isn't as important to me as the art it's self.

Cool, people that think the ukulele is a toy annoy me, why should it be less serious an instrument than any other instrument Some of the songs he make are pure magic.
