Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

It's official, I am having Jarrett build me a guitar, here are the specs folks...

Strat style with set neck

Neck:
3 piece maple
brazilian rosewood fretboard
22 jumbo frets
custom inlays, imagine something that looks like 2 arches joined at one point.

body
mahogany body
quilted maple top
body contours
Wilkinson VSG trem
HSS with Dimarzio Cruisers in neck and middle and either a Dimarzio Steve M. in the bridge or Breed. all in white and the bucker in zebra.
2 volume and 1 tone control, in a triangular lay out pushed to lower right face of guitar body far from bridge.
5 way switch

I am going to have all of the hardware in chrome, and oh yeah, spirzel locking tuners.

Here is the finish it will also be in:

I am also going to have the neck done with some sexy maple binding on the fretboard, to giv that cool outline look like on Gibbys.

I'm pumped.

$2,500 and it is expected to be done in roughly 60 days.

CONGRATS !!!!!!
Please post pic's when it arrives !

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

I spoke with Jack last week, yep, I'm ordering a Jarrett Forza ! Just had too ! Although I had to be a bit conservative (Hey, I'm just a working guy !). Jack was more than happy to work with me to build the nicest guitar for me within my budget. I have a good feeling about these guitars ! I have seen a lot of guitar deals from young companies, then when I consider ordering, they are twice as much. I'm not gonna be that guy again ! If you would like, I'll post pics when I receive my Forza. I'll also shoot Ya the pros and cons as I see em' too. I have a lot of friends in Nor Cal and Reno wanting to play it when it gets here. I have a funny feeling there will be a lot of Jarret's headed this way.

So, is that yours?? Thats sweet!! Pls clarify, feels like an LP, plays like a PRS? I like the way LPs play and feel, not so much Prs'.

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

Man, that looks great! I really dig the semi hollow Forza and I love that they have a model that looks just like the Steven's stuff called the Zaffiro (except that the Zaffiro is actually affordable).

I'm assuming these necks are nice and chunky like a good Les Paul, but they play smooth like PRS without the usual tuning problems that so many Les Pauls exhibit? Tonally, where does it fall?

These guys are clearly doing a lot of great things, especially for the price. Congrats!

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

they said they have a partner in the Boston area or will even pickup a New Englander at their local train stop... I really want to look into these guys, but I need an axe in my hands to know since I can not see photos. I just landed a full time job at Berklee and am 100% planning to treat myself to a new axe... another Lipe, Suhr, Anderson, PGB or maybe these guys...

Blues Guy, I am am the Partner in Boston. Would be happy to bring down a couple or have you up to my home in Andover. There is a T Station in Andover and I would be happy to pick you up and bring you over to my home guitar room. You can play a couple of Jarrett's and compare it to my Suhr's, Anderson's and other nice Custom Shop Guitars.

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

well guys, I'll be checking out a show room with some Suhrs, Andersons, other custom shops and a few Jarrett models to A/B. I'll let you know how it goes, I am very excited and think this report will help answer some questions we all have (positively)!

Re: Jarrett Gas, anyone else ?

Sorry about the hit and run post...been bogged down with some health issues, just don't get out here much.
@BloodRose, When holding my Forza, the weight and balance are much like a Les Paul (Which I Love). The build quality and playability are much more like a PRS, Beautiful woods, flawless finish work, the neck is a dream!!!...wide but not too chunky, allows me to effortlessly play any style.
@That90'sGuy, Tonally the Forza is amazing 1st position on the selector is very much like a Tele in timbre (Without the twang), 2nd position is very hot great for lead work (tone is very much like a SD Custom full on), 3rd position gives me an almost acoustic like vibe, beautiful and articulate without being punchy 4th position is much like a Strat in the neck position warm and airy (spend a lot of time there) 5th position has a full on P.A.F. tone, somewhere between a SD 59 and SD Jazz easily controlled between the two with the volume knob. The Forza sustains for days !
I hope this has helped a bit...I'm not a pro, just a working guy that loves to play. I have been playing since 1973, Ive owned many guitars in that time...including Brand G,F,and PRS...My Jarrett Forza is the most well made, beautiful and versatile (tone-wise) of any guitar I have ever owned ! This is my keeper !

The Player's Series (CNC or Computer Cut) have 2 neck shapes. One is fat like a 59 LP and one is a bit thinner than a 60's LP. The Platinum Series are hand built and the necks can be whatever shape or style you want. All woods, finishes or styles you can dream up, Jarrett will build you.
