Jazz bridge in LP?

The Jazz bridge is VERY bright, and retains that warm, sparkly feel that the neck unit offers with less bass and slightly more output. I would like to caution that if you're going for some detuned, buzzsaw metal tone then the Jazz bridge will probably not please you. It doesnt sound very hot when overdriven, is only half as "thick" as the Jazz neck, and can actually get a little trebly unless you compensate for it in your EQ. I use it on a 12 string, so I guess my point of view of it may be warped.....but I still don't see it as a suitable bridge pickup for anything aggressive or high gain.
If you're looking for a moderate to low gain set that sound great when used together, I'd check it out, but I strongly reccomend pairing a Custom 5, JB, or Peraly Gates with a Jazz neck.

Hm... doesn't sound like what I'm looking for then. I am reasonably happy with my Jazz/59 and 59/C5 sets, but maybe I'll look into a Brobucker sometime to pair with the JazzN. I love the 59b, but I wish it was just a tad more even, had a little more output and had a little less treble. (That would be a brobucker, right?)

A lot of long-time forum members here like it in the neck - they liken it to a jazzn with more balls but still really articulate. Are you thinking about a matched set? If I were you, I'd go with a jazz bridge in the neck and a C5 or Custom for the Bridge (It might even pair well with a screamin demon).

Being a big fan of the C5, Jazz, and other Alnico 5 humbuckers, I was wondering about the Brobucker. Aged Alnico 5 sounds nice.....10K sounds pretty decent......I hear it has lots of lows and is slightly scooped like the C5 and Jazz.......Hmmmmmm.
