With Boxing Day sales, I thought it might be a good idea to pick up a different pickup. I'm not really feeling the DD-N matched with the JB, and the '59N was good, but there was room for improvement.
I'm wondering who has paired an A2P with the JB? Does the output balance? Does the voicing feel balanced?
I love the Air Norton in my Les Paul, but I don't want the same pickup in this guitar. I kinda want something different yet along the lines. What I want is something that has a softer top-end than the '59, but that's still not dark and wooly like the A5 DD-N. I want something that's less scooped and that has a less deep bass than the '59N.
Should I pick an A2P-N or an A2P-B up rather for it to have more room to play with pickup height?
Thanks!
