I think that I am the only person in the world to have bought a Jazz bridge pickup... :smack:
It was for a thick bodied Jazz box, and I was looking for the cleanest humbucker available. I first tried 59's and Alnico 2's, but they weren't clean enough. So I got a set of Jazz pickups and wired them up to a rotary switch so that I could select series linkages to dirty them up a bit. Funny thing is when series linkages are selected the "other" tone control works backwards... as you turn it down to 0 the tone gets brighter! (The tone control for the pickup connected to the hot signal works as expected; it is the tone control for the pickup which is wired to ground that works backwards.)
