I think that would be a great choice. One of my band mates played jazz on a PRS and got really nice tones out of it.

Did your bandmate play a solid body or semi hollow? I am looking at guitars right now and I'm thinking of going with a solid body SE Custom 24 and replacing the pickups with either PRS McCarty pickups or another really jazzy set.

Cool, it was a solid body.
