has anyone here used this combo, i play rock, funk, jazz, etc.... i need an all around flexable combination, i wan't a hard hitting rock sound, and a smooth clean sound, do you guys think this combo will get the job done? i have an alder wood G&L legacy, i am thinking duncan dis. on the bridge because it is gutsy, i tried the jb and it had alot of high's but not enough lows, so i now am thinking DD, is this a good solution?, and i wan't a jazz model on the neck for funk and jazz, i am loooking for a warm smooth tone, i tried the 59 and it was warm on the high end, but in my opinion had to much natural distortion on the low end, and didn't clean up well, so is the jazz model a good choice for what i wan't on the neck, warm tone, clean lows with no crudyness?

That should do what you want. If you want a little less bite, go for a Custom in the bridge.

Sounds like a good combo. I personally like the custom a bit more than the distortion but, either are good.

thank's so much guys for replying i have to let my guitar guy know what i want tonight, he is wiring them in tomorrow, one more question, what is it about the custom 5 that you like better than the dd, how does the sound differ between the two.
