Jazz neck = Full Shred Neck?

I believe I read this in a couple of posts. The coils are the same? So here is my questions:

Jazz Neck with pole pieces replaced with either 1/2" Fillsters or hex screws would yield something in between the two pups EQ wise?
Full Shred Neck with one set of Hex Heads replaced with the standard 2/3" Fillsters would also yield a pickup that is in between EQ wise?

Anyone done either? I may do the Jazz screw swap soon and was just wondering if anyone has done it and their results.

Are you trying to go for a brighter sound out of your Jazz?

I've changed the hex screws for filisters in mine and it sounded like a '59n to me. Really beautiful tone with A4s in that specific setting, paired up with a double-screw '59/Custom Hybrid.

The FSb is a Custom wind. Pretty good tone with A2s, A4s, UOA5s and A8s.

yeah, I think so. I find the Jazz a bit thick in the mids for a Les Paul. I have it paired with a 59b, and I think i can squeeze out a bit more mojo if i put the shorter screws in. I recall the FSn was sweet with a 59b, so if i can get closer to that. The Jazz is a great pickup, so I don't want to totally change it. I just want it to pair better with the 59 I have in the bridge. I will be getting a FSn soon too, for another LP.
