Re: jazz pickups?

For humbuckers: Seth Lovers, Antiquitys, Alnico II Pros (humbuckers) and '59s should all work for jazz. Any of those would do it fine, the ´59s have more bass and are brighter than the others, I'd choose A2P's for the Strat and Antiquitys for the LP.
Single coils aren't generally used for jazz but they can do it (Strat with neck pickup or neck & middle is a good sound for jazz) - I wouldn't use them in a guitar that you use mostly for jazz.

Re: jazz pickups?

i figured id be using mostly humbuckers. so a2p for the les paul and what if i used a h/h for the strat or for an ibanez?

Re: jazz pickups?

Antiquitys or perhaps the Benedettos Jeremy suggested would probably do better in the Paul as I suggested in my post. The Antiquities are a bit more old sounding and have a woodier tone than the A2Ps.
The A2P's have full strength AlNiCo II magnets (a bit more mids) so they'd perhaps be more ideal for the Strat.
