JazzBlues ahead?

Re: JazzBlues ahead?

The forum I posted it in was the PlaneTalk forum for Kirk Lorange. He posts here sometimes. The trouble is you can only get into that forum by purchasing the Planetalk system ... which is pretty cool ... I recommend it. But the link would not work for you unless your a member.

The Planetalk system shows great ways to see arpeggios or chord tones. Kirk's system de-emphasizes reliance on learning scales. For me .. the great thing is combining it all. Kirk always mentions that using everthing you have is his suggestion, as well. I have always relied primarily on scales and his system is helping me see more arpeggio opportunities.

I can tell you that they were impressed. A few mentioned fast scales but started those few comments off with how good it was. But for sure ... they really liked it ... same as I did. Your arpeggios are nice too in the piece.

Re: JazzBlues ahead?

StrangeSounds ... I also put this clip on two other forums ...

Les Paul Jam Page They sometimes have some really good swaps of jams and backing tracks. Unusual but I got no feedback so far ... but maybe eventually. They may not have liked my clip ... happens to me sometimes. In fact, the last two clips have gotten one comment combined ... not so good I guess.

Tele Twanger Central since it was a Tele. I only got a little feedback but I've only posted there a couple of times.

Not sure why I didn't remember them initially ... thanks again for the clip.

Doveman,

we hang around the same places. ;)

I'm trying to get back into the music rather than all of the gear stuff. I've made some nice improvements on gear lately, now it's time to use them.

Hey MB ... I've been patiently waiting for your take on this backer ... you're killin' me with the wait. Tell me you're gonna do one ... you'd kill on this one I bet.

Re: JazzBlues ahead?

Rid: great tone. You're sounding better and better on the clean tones. Soon you'll be out business or you'll have to concentrate on clean boosts! Sweet and relaxed playing.

Doveman: nice tone. Is it the Mesa? Your Mesa-tone is very dumble-ish. It must be a combination of your dynamics and the fact that some people claim that Howard D. basically stole a Mark II design! :) very nice clip, some Denny Diaz connotations there.

Here's my take. I hope it sounds ok albeit the infamous "youtube compression":

StrangeSound,

I just listened to your clip - very nice. I'm 35 now, and I couldn't play anywhere near this when I was 20 so kudos to you and this track. Nice work, and some tasty playing.
