JazzBlues

Re: JazzBlues

Thank you Marin!

I tried to leave some space and repetitive motives..I can't judge this clip if it's ok or not. It's always strange to liste to your own stuff. :)

Osensei, where is thy comment? :D

Yep, one is always over-critical about his own stuff, especially immediately after having played it. However, I sometimes listen to my stuff I did a few months back and I sometimes think: "Did I really play that....?" :11:

That's a strange feeling hehe..I once watched an interview on TV and some blues man was talking about getting better on your instrument, I think. He said sorta: If you listen to your own stuff and you think somebody else plays it, you've found your sound and you played it well.

Because normally you know there and there you did a mistake and you're not satisfied with the playing. It's cool but it happens seldomly.

Re: JazzBlues

Thats a good quote Strange!

And the clip had its moments.....some good runs...but some bits where you ran outta ideas :) (happens to me waaaay more than you though)
Its a tough sorta thing to solo on isnt it; play jazzy or bluesy?.....need to balance the two sides (thats the way i look at it at least)....Also i find that the chords must be treated very sepeately, otherwise it doesnt quite sound right (to me)

Any chance of sending me the backing track? Been trying to work on these chord progressions with my jazz group (for songs like Tenor madness, Blue monk,.....and about a million other tunes like it :D)

I don't know, is it me or should I play sax or trumpet? :laugh2: These are the jazz instruments.
