Jazzmaster: Antiquity vs Antiquity II

I don't post here often anymore, but I thought you guys might like this.

The YouTube show i help make with my friends just released an episode comparing the Antiquity for Jazzmaster with the Antiquity II's. It's a pretty short watch but I think we did a good job showing off basic differences in tone you can expect between the two.

We've been releasing videos about guitar gear for over a year now and after the holiday season wraps up we're going to be cranking out at least one and usually two videos a week. If you like our vibe we'd love to have you in our community.

Seems like Vintage I is nicer with gain, Vintage II has the edge clean.

Yeah it was pretty eye-opening for me. The green one with Ant 2's is my guitar and I use it mostly for cleans, but I also use the bridge pickup for distorted rock riffs that I want to cut different than my usual humbucker guitars.

The vintage 60s pickups used to be mine but I decided to sell them for cheap to Jason because most of his guitars are Jazzmasters and I didn't want to mod my Thurston Moore. Then I heard them when I was mixing the audio for this and kinda regretted it haha.

I normally don't care for A2 pickups but those ant II pickups were way too bright.

I only use that guitar for an extremely bright and almost harsh sound and it delivers. That brightness helps when you're going through several fuzz pedals and at least two amps hehhh
