Jazzmaster pickups

Hi all,

I am thinking about replacing my Japanese Jazzmaster pickups for Seymour Duncan ones. I wonder what would be the best choice. Can you explain the difference between the SD SJM-2 and the Antiquity II? What about the Fender USA '62 Vintage Jazzmaster pickups as compared to the previous two?

Any tips?

Much appreciated,

Pedro

Welcome to the forum.

My experience when upgrading the pickups in my Fender CIJ Jaguar was that Duncan Vintage style replacements were disappointly weak. Hot was too hot. i.e. It sacrificed too much of the true vintage Fender tone and dynamics. I settled on an Ant (A2 magnet) for the neck position and an Ant II (A5 magnet) for the bridge position.
