I'm working on a Jazzmaster project and would like to know if anyone has come up with alternate wiring diagrams for the J-Master. I haven't ordered the pickguard yet or done any of the pickup routes, so I've not committed to anything. I have decided on a Strat style trem unit, mostly to show off the grain - it is an amazing piece of black ash. (insert joke here)
I'm leaning toward stock Jazzmaster pups (possibly P90's although I think this will take me too far away from a traditional Jmaster sound). I'd like to go with some kind of alternate arrangement for the roller pots/slide switch on the upper bout. Or is this arrangement more useful than it appears? Any suggestions/opinions welcome!
