I have started to mod my jazzmaster...time for new pup. any suggestions?..i`m thinking lowend humbuckers..my guitar is daphne blue and it would be sooo cool to have a really fat metalisch dirtortion sound from the bridge...and a bright clean from the neck..What do you think? Any one tried something like this?:newangel:

for a bright clean neck, id say the jazz model would be perfect.
for the bridge a custom or distortion sounds like it would fit the bill, the custom might balance better volume wise but if youre using the neck for clean and the bridge for dirty it wont matter much

Put an antiquity II in neck for good clean sound..then put anything you want in bridge..thus at least keeping it a "real" jazzmaster in one aspect. Also I heard that antiquity 1's are less bassy which combined with distortion can be good. that would work and still be a great jazz for resale..as opposed to humbuckers.blut said:
