A thread brought to mind by a very detailed review of the SH-2n by Neeradj.

Supposing you want a very fluent, yet articulate neck pup tone. Good bite and great dynamics, with a nice throaty tone... think Vai/Petrucci solo tone. Go for it!

Wow thanks Guitarist, great topic and this will be a great search point for people who want fat smooth leads, in a Progressive kind of soundcoat but are going back and forth between Duncan and DiMarzio.

I ofcourse voted Yes, I wouldn't believe anyone saying no (unless (s)he backed it).

I did a little recording with my V-Amp 2, I tried to record the other stuff but I don't think it'd represent anything else very well. Here's a bit of sweeping. I know it's sloppy, but it'll give you a nice idea of how good and clear the Jazz sounds for sweeping:
