JB a bit tilted. Shall I leave it like that?

Re: JB a bit tilted. Shall I leave it like that?

Well, I'd ask..is there a sound problem, or just OCD? Some pickups can tilt front/back, and some left/right, especially with the 2 point mounting system that apparently is the standard. I would just add to the foam underneath, or leave it alone if you like the sound.

More likely OCD! LOL

Great, I would highly aprreciate it. If you can, show me the kind of paper/material you'll be using, too! Regards!

The wife gave me a honey do list so it`ll be towards the end of the day before I do cheapskate leveling job :2:

Yes, it can indeed affect the sound and I have used foam and other methods to fix it on some guitars. With that said, I agree with others that your guitar looks pretty good. I'd guess that when you fret the last fret, the strings are pretty much parallel?

Not exactly level, I could eventually post another picture to show the exact degree. Gonna do it tomorrow since I have night shift, sigh.

Here`s before and after , its not perfectly level but much better than before . I just cut some of the tissue paper into a somewhat chunky small square and stuffed in with tweezers between the pickup and the cavity

It looks way better indeed. Did you stuff the "square" between the "neck" side of the pickup and the confronting wall of the cavity? Thanks

For the bridge yes I put on the neck side of the pickup and for the neck pickup I put it on the bridge side if that makes any sense

Yes, it makes sense. I tried with some black foam, before opening the thread, exactly like you said; but it was too soft.
