So I’ve ordered a JB (bridge), Custom Stack Plus (middle) and a Jazz (neck) for my Ibanez SV5470a. This axe, HSH has got True Duo pickups that are rather thick. Thicker than the JB and Jazz. I live in the Netherlands and bought ‘m at a reseller here. I haven’t placed them in yet but I’m expecting to get in trouble with the pickup height. Without ordering a new JB/Jazz with long mounting legs from the SD Custom department is there a way to raise them to the same level as the Ibanez stock pu’s? I’ll try to insert a picture of the Ibanez and SD pu’s to show the difference in height...
Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Kind regard, Mark

im not familiar with that guitar but im assuming that the pups direct mount to the body. you can put the foam that comes with the new pup under them or use something else to give them support on the bottom

You may be able to get a small metal spacer at your local hardware store, which you can place between the mounting tabs and the body:

Or, you could use a piece of rubber tubing instead of the metal spacer. Benefit here is that the tubing will act like a sort of spring and you can adjust height easier:

Another option is to find some conical springs from another pickup and put the wide side against the body

Id say longer screws + foam, and you got it. It would be a more difficult problem to solve if the new pickups were thicker.

I would second what masta' c said, surgical tubing is a lifesaver!
