JB/Jazz Concept Set - Magnet confusion

Re: JB/Jazz Concept Set - Magnet confusion

So when this set originally came out, there was a misprint about the Jazz N pickup having an A2 magnet.

Now, despite the apparent misprint, and "all JBs have always had A5 magnets" statement, it would appear the original JB had an A2.

Soo...is it true or is this another misprint?

The concept wasnt an JB per se.. it was just that a concept or prototype if you will. Changes were made before they put into production what is known as the JB today.

Re: JB/Jazz Concept Set - Magnet confusion

afaik, the original JB's had roughcast A5 magnets.

But this being the specs that preceded the first PROPER JB, then it's totally feasible that Seymour decided he preferred the A5 over the A2 for the bridge pickup.

The concept bridge has the A2. The concept neck has an A5.
